Show String:

WPH trainer, Kimberly Ward is focused on providing training and coaching with a high level of customer satisfaction – we will do what we can to meet your horses needs and our clients goals.

With an evaluation of your horse and your goals we will develop a practical plan for success and work hand in hand to achieve the goals you set out to accomplish, while maintaining a solid program for continued conditioning and train-ability.  With very strong Amateur and Youth programs, which include but are not limited to disciplines such as Western Pleasure,  Horsemanship,  Hunter under Saddle, Equitation and Ranch Pleasure; we strive to offer a healthy, fun, competitive show atmosphere for motivated individuals that want to compete at Regional, Congress and World Show levels.

Whether looking simply for lessons, a training  program, conditioning or wanting to compete, we have the team for you. We are open to all levels of riders, welcoming children and adults.

For the "Green" Horse:

We will work your horse in different areas starting out in basic dressage  to condition and strengthen a riding "core". We start off with basic ground manners (if lacking) and understanding and then mirroring it onto their backs. Forming a clear and communicative "ask and respond", we start to develop the performance horse as well as teaching the client. There are no limitations to the horses breed.

About Kim:

I've competed within the American Quarter Horse Association for over 15 years with multiple titles including Superiors in Hunter Under Saddle, Horsemanship and Western Pleasure in Open, Amateur and Youth on multiple horses; Finalists at AQHA World Show; multiple AQHA Congress Futurity placings as well as finalists and placings in maturity classes, open and amateur, and Regional Championship titles.  I've also had the opportunity to coach riders who had Top Ten placings at the AQHA Congress and multiple winners and top placers at the Regional Show Championships. With so much heart for my pleasure horses, I don't try and limit disciplines. With most of my horses, I like to start with a strong dressage foundation and work up from there. For a few years I had the opportunity to work with  a talented horseman within Medieval Times and got to ride and help train some brilliant Andalusian stallions. I've learned so much and have come to appreciate even certain small things.

Within AQHA, I had the opportunity to work for and assist with a handful of talented trainers that include Pierre Briere, Mike & Amy Whitmore, Kim Myers, Chris Grey and Ray Carmean as well as other mentors and great horses. I wouldn't be who I am today without them. After 15+ years in AQHA I took a break to serve my country in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman. As my service time ended, I got back into horses where my heart has always been and returned to training and coaching.
